Bi-Monthly
Breakfast Meetings |
Bi-monthly
breakfast meetings are held the first Wednesday of
every other month throughout the program year. These
meetings offer outstanding business and personal networking
opportunities within the Southwest Florida region. Guest
speakers are invited to speak about issues or concerns within their respective organization. Employee
of the Month and his or her employer are also recognized by Goodwill Industries, and
committee reports are given.

Public Relations and
Marketing Committee |
This committee is
responsible for increasing the awareness of the Mayor's
Alliance to the general public and to individuals,
organizations, institutions, or businesses that may
contribute to or benefit from the services, programs, and
projects of our organization.

Education
Committee |
The Education
Committee provides outreach programs for the Mayor's
Alliance through a variety of programs and services each
year. This committee is recognized for the following
programs: Career Day for Students with Disabilities with the
Lee County School District, Mayor's Alliance Website
Development, and Abilities Seminar Home Modifications and
Technology for Greater Accessibility Education Seminar.
Additionally, the Education Committee has taken great
strides to continue in its development and maximization of
educational projects. To this end, the committee will
alternate program type each calendar year.

Friendraising
Committee |
This committee is
responsible for planning the bimonthly breakfast and raising funds to support the Mayor's Alliance's programs and projects. These have included grants, community events, special projects,
membership drives, socials, and donations.

This committee is
responsible for increasing membership by recruiting individual members,
organizations, institutions, or businesses that can
contribute to or benefit from the services, programs, and
projects that are geared toward individuals with

Nomination
Committee |
This
committee is appointed by the President of the Board of
Directors. The committee selects a slate of officers
and Board members to be presented to the general membership
in the spring. New officers and Board members begin their
term in June and they meet annually.

Special
Projects Committee |
This committee is
responsible for providing recognition to individuals,
agencies and employers. Past examples include Employers
Appreciation Banquets and bimonthly Employee of the Month
awards.
